Make an Interlibrary Loan Request

Interlibrary Loan Guidelines

Interlibrary Loan Items:

OCLC Express Library logoInteribrary Loan (ILL) is a service that obtains books, articles, and other materials not available at the Mount St. Joseph University Library, through the Library’s databases, or through OhioLINK or SearchOhio. This service is available for Mount students, faculty, staff and Sisters of Charity with a valid ID card. Items are loaned at the discretion of the owning library. You will be notified via email if we are unable to obtain your requested item. ILL service is not available to visiting and guest patrons of the Mount Library. If you need interlibrary loan assistance, please contact your home library (if you are an OhioLINK or SearchOhio Member) or your nearest public library.

Interlibrary Loan Request Form:

Complete our online form to request items through ILL.

Interlibrary Loan Books & Media:

Loan periods are solely determined by the lending library. Generally speaking, items borrowed through the ILL service have a loan period of 30 days.

You will receive an email notification when your requested item has arrived and is available for pickup.  ILL books and media are usually available within 7-10 business days from the time the request is submitted.

A Request for a renewal must be made prior to the due date. Renewals are granted at the discretion of the loaning library.

See Borrowing Guidelines for more information about Interlibrary Loan Books & Media.
