New Look for EBSCO databases - This July!

by Cynthia Gregory on 2025-07-01T11:46:00-04:00 | 0 Comments

New user interface from EBSCO(Post written by Ruth Monnier, Head of Research & Instructional Services)

This July, all EBSCO databases will be getting a facelift! Out with the familiar blue and green pages and in with minimalist crisp white and streamline navy! These changes will occur to familiar EBSCO databases such as Academic Search Complete, APA PsychInfo, Business Search Complete, Education Research Complete, Medline, and Newspaper Source and came about from user feedback, testing, and accessibility standards.

If you are a seasoned EBSCO user, you will find some big changes!

  • When logged into your EBSCO account with the new interface, the Dashboard (right sidebar) is where you find Projects, Saved Items, lists of searches and records viewed during your current session, and search and journal alerts
  • New “Projects” feature extends MyEBSCO’s folders that you might have used, by allowing the collection, organization, and adding Due Dates to prioritize your work.
  • Improved E-Book experience where navigation within the book and online reading are more intuitive. Also, information about the number of simultaneous users and download limits is more clear.
  • Popular filters like Full Text and Peer Review are prominently displayed at the top of the results list and under the search bar.

Reminder: You do not have to have a MyEBSCO account to use EBSCOhost databases, but creating a MyEBSCO account will allow you to make the most of the interface’s new personalization features. As with the EBSCOhost Classic, items will not be saved beyond your current session if you are not logged into your MyEBSCO account.

For more information about the Dashboard, see Using the Dashboard in the New EBSCO Interfaces or watch the MyEBSCO and the Dashboard in the New EBSCO User Interfaces tutorial.
