The MSJ Library’s collection of computer science books is almost completely electronic. Search for books (print or ebooks) by title or subject in the library’s catalog or in OhioLINK's statewide catalog.
FOCUS is the MSJ Library's online catalog. Search FOCUS to find out which print books, ebooks, films, journals, and other digital materials are available from the Mount Library.
An online catalog of more 23 million items held in over 80 Ohio college and university libraries. Use OhioLINK to search for and request books and videos not owned by the Mount Library. OhioLINK's catalog focuses on academic content. For popular titles, try also searching SearchOhio.
Ebook Databases:
The following ebook databases contain books on computer science and related fields.
A collection of academic ebooks covering a range of subjects. Users can preview a PDF version of an e-book online, peruse a page, read each page in depth, jump to specific chapters or pages, or use links in the Table of Content or Index to go directly to specific chapters of interest. Every word in every book is searchable. This collection also offers a check-out model, where readers check out e-books for a specified amount of time.
Provides ebooks, audiobooks, videos, and on-demand courses in computer science, information technology, business, and related fields from O'Reilly, Pearson, Wiley, and other IT and business publishers. NOTE: For first time users of O’Reilly, click on the link above. On the welcome screen, click on the link labelled, “Institution Not Listed?” At the prompt, type in your MSJ email address. Open your MSJ email account and look for an email from O’Reilly. Click on the link to finish setting up your account. Type in your first and last name, and create a password. Once you submit this information, you should see the O’Reilly database homepage. After you create your account, from then on you can login to O'Reilly by clicking on the link above, then click on the “Institution Not Listed?” link, and then click on the “Already a User?” link to login with your MSJ email address and the password you created when you set up your account.
