Find Physical Therapy Articles
For college-level research you'll need to use specialized periodical databases that cover a specific subject. These list articles published in scholarly and peer-reviewed journals from around the world. Online periodical indexes (databases) may also link to the full text of the article.
Journal articles provide current information and various points of view on your topic. Articles can also provide information about topics that are not covered in books. Search article databases, like the ones listed below, to find articles on your topic.
When you have found citations for articles you would like, use the "Find It!" button to determine availability for the article. This function will tell you whether the Mount library owns the journal or if it is available full-text.
If you need an article from a journal we do not own or have full-text access to, you can request the article from Interlibrary Loan.

Find Physcial Therapy Books
Books provide extensive, in-depth information on a topic, or on a particular aspect of a topic.
Items owned by the Mount Library are listed in FOCUS, the Library's online catalog. Physical Therapy books are located on the second floor of the Library, mostly in the 615-617 call number range. If you are not familiar with how to find Dewey numbers the librarian can help you. Most of the material in the Library is in “open stacks.” This means that you are free to browse the collection to find items. Some major subject headings used in the catalog are Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Sports Physical Therapy, and Physical Therapy for Older People. You may also search for books by author, title, or keyword.
Items not listed in FOCUS may be found by searching the OhioLINK Library Catalog which maintains location and availability information for items held in college and university libraries throughout Ohio; you may request that an item listed in the OhioLINK catalog be sent to you at the Mount Library. Books usually arrive within 2-4 days.
