How Faculty can Place Items on Reserve for Courses
What Can be Placed on Reserve
- Books, videos, CDs, and other materials can be placed on regular reserve. Items can be library-owned or personal.
- Items from other libraries cannot be placed on reserve.
How to Submit Materials
To place materials on reserve:
- Fill out the Course Reserve Request Form providing information about the course taught and the items to be placed on reserve. The forms are available at the Circulation Desk or can be downloaded here: Reserve Request Form
- Bring the completed request form, along with all items to be placed on reserve, to the Library Circulation Desk.
Where to Submit Materials
Bring the completed request form along with the items that you want to be placed on reserve to the Library Circulation Desk anytime during library hours.
The request form can also be submitted electronically. In this case, send the request form via email to Bridget DuMont at firstname.lastname@example.org, 513-244-4880.
When to Submit Materials
We request that the reserve materials be submitted by these deadlines in order to be processed for the first day of classes:
Fall semester - August 1
Spring semester - December 15
Summer semester - April 15
If you submit materials during the semester, please, do so at least one week before the readings are assigned. Reserve requests are processed in the order they are received. Submitting all items in advance will help us to make them available for your students in a timely manner.
