Current faculty and staff members with active AllCards may borrow items from the Library's collection or OhioLINK's Central Catalog. To search the Archbishop Alter Library's collection, use the FOCUS library catalog. To search and request items from other OhioLINK member libraries, use the OhioLINK Central Catalog. To request articles not found in the Library's print, microfiche, or electronic journal collections, complete the online Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request form.

Articles, essays, book chapters, videos, CDs and books can be placed on reserve in the Library or on electronic reserves. Complete a Course Reserves Request Form (available at the Library's Circulation Desk) and bring the items you want on reserve to the Library's Circulation Desk.

Research Instruction & Information Literacy
You may request library instruction for your students at any point in the semester. The librarians offer a variety of instructional methods and cover information literacy and research skills ranging from the basics to more advanced skills.

Current faculty and staff have full access to the Library's many online resources, as well as the numerous print resources found in our reference collection. To better assist patrons with any research need, a librarian is always on duty during the library's hours of operation. Research help is also available online via email and chat reference services. We welcome any questions you might have. Off Campus Access to our resources is available and requires a current AllCard.

Teaching Resources/Curriculum Content Development
Each of our librarians is available to consult with teaching faculty for assistance researching content specific to their classes. The format and content researched can range from open access digital videos to peer revied journal articles.

Set up E-Journal Alerts & Personal Search Folders
Create personal accounts in the Electronic Journal Center and various EBSCO databases (myEBSCOhost Folder) to save searches, articles, and keep up-to-date with your favorite research journals. The Library's Electronic Resources Department offers consultation services for Mount faculty who are interested in these features.
